I'm actually finally starting to cut through some long-term projects i've been meaning to finish (website, resume, zines, re-connecting with old friends, o yea launching a novel, etc) 

the last thing i need is more projects on my plate

but mucky mentioned fanshrines and now i can't stop thinking about finally doing that zihark fan shrine that the long-defunct 'zihark fan club' on deviantart was the spiritual predecessor to :D;;;;;;

I’ve been legit invested in BRING BACK INTERNET SHRINES 202X ever since I realized they were going out of fashion. By our powers combined we can make magic happen!

I wonder if there’s still any communities for making and promotions the creation of shrines on DW, the directory Amassmant started off as a comm I’m pretty sure, they held challenges like refurbishing and updating shrines, creating new content or building new shrines to certain specs in certain time limits, stuff to encourage creation, trade ideas, stuff like that! I think their last event was even as recent as 2016 or even 2018.

You know, i just took a look around and i'm actually shocked I don't see a comm or "interest" in fanshrines here, even if it was a defunct one. Feels like something folks on here would love ... Def recognize the name Amassmant though, and it'd be amazing if the revival got big enough to start "waking up" some new communities there.
