a recent thought:

I’m not interested in creating representation (in art) for the sake of representation-

i’m interested in awakenings.

making that sucker-punch of a scene that’s a queer awakening for an entire generation. that nauseatingly gorn-filled (but hot) chapter that leaves readers reeling at how visceral the emotions of the untold are, terrible as they may be. the kind of pointed scenes drunkenly whispered at late-night sleepovers as images that linger for decades.

awakenings that specifically soar above shock for the sake of it - the difference in intent giving a point to unlocking the back-door of empathy.

there is so much that makes me go to sleep these days - but that?
