ousama ranking loveblog up to ep 11  (+spoilers for eps before!)

tl;dr i am utterly engrossed in this show now wtf, it's been 5+ years since i've marathoned a show that fast

• so the entire reason i made this a post is b/c i've kiiiiiiiinda been high key shipping miranjo/apeas as a villain ship in the background cuz it's a little wiggy (as wholesome as this show i needed a little wiggy to keep me entertained) but it's not too wiggy in the sense that it still theoretically made sense for the show cuz man there were tiny Vibes, AND THIS EPISODE FUCKING DELIVERED  IN SPADES ON MY CRACKSHIP OH MY GOD?!!!! YELLING!!! my favorite ships never get canon content!!!!!!!!!! ;D;;;;;; it's still not exactly obvious "what dynamic" they're going for but ahhh fuck fuck fuck i'm invested
• i'd feel a little weird drawing lewds of this show but i think i am drawing those two specifically at some point
  
  • i wish i could be intellectual about the appeal of those two together and say 'size difference plus knightly loyalty beyond looks yadda yadda' but it is super similar thematically to [touches fingertips ruefully] oooone of my self insert ships cuz playing with fucked up immortality via permanent body horror and pint sized terrors is fun as balls :D;;;; ??
  • anyway i'm screaming internally that they're getting the emotional beats right with it so far
• despa's 'courage' speech for Bojji got me tearing up too god dammit, i don't have feels i ... don't.... have... .feeels d-dammit....... ;____________;
  
  • (which is seriously impressive because i think i've cried over media like, a grand total of twice. republic commando when etain died and ME3 where legion died.)
• i love, love desher (king of the underworld); still have no idea which tropes they're going to zigzag with him but i think it absolutely rules he goes straight to invading the empire because he is clearly a creature after krad's heart and 300% embraces the villain aesthetic even when he technically doesn't have to
  
  • also the captain of the underworld's kinda cute and i hope i don't regret saying that because i thought hot swordsman guy was cute (dormas) and promptly got the rug kicked out from my broken heart at his betrayal xD;  literally was yelling at the laptop at like twelve last night on a work laptop and was so mad i couldn't sleep
  • krad you have exactly one brain cell and that is questionably wiggy/hot villains listen did i pretend otherwise
• OTHER than those dears i'm shocked at how much daida has grown on me :o i feel like anyone who stanned draco malfoy would go ga ga over him because he's a similar mix of like, scheme-y/bratty but with a very complex emotional core and i feel proud of the little dude for not giving into temptation several times (eg with the potion) like, shit, he's done a better job than "I: would have in the same contexts. ; o
• [insert keysmash flail at almost every other scene, i can't remember the last time i went from such passive-aggressive cynical 'ok let's watch how badly they fuck up here, ha ha ha' to. like. 300% INVESTED.]
• I don't have much to say about ep 12 which just released as it introduced a lot of new characters, and OR's strength is more in the execution of the trope sub versions afterwards, but i'm interested. : o
