(no subject)

I can't stop thinking about my next-decade-prediction post and how weirdly(?) depressing it was compared to everyone else's (at the time)...

and yet how laughably, chillingly accurate it is, barely half a year later.  namely:

☑ cults + psychedelics will make a trendy comeback
☑ hospital ransomeware
☑ nationalized fragmentation of the internet
☑ 2020 will be 2001 / 9/11 in terms of something "big" going down that sets the tone for the next two decades
☑ biggest ideological moral panic in a century reaches peak (linking one of many)
☑ privacy/resistance to surveillance will become an outdated concept (ongoing, but... ) 

note to self: never predicting another decade ever again lmao
