Nov. 22nd, 2020 05:42 pmSomething I really love about being back on FE forums is how folks can disagree, be wrong, even be abrasive as hell and .... it doesn't turn into this awful bad-faith rolling ball of a tire fire explosion?
I've seen a bunch of vaguely snippy posts now where on other sites, it absolutely would've started this epic grudge and/or harassment fest that'd last for months, and yet ... nothing. Mods don't even have to jump in. They didn't even have to jump in on the 'lucina was drawn by a loli artist' topic, when I was for sure expecting a few bans to have to be handed out for that one. Jesus. Folks are civil even tho I'm getting the vibe that they're from wildly different walks of life, to boot - and i love that it's not this fucking monoculture.
There's something in me that's slowly starting to relax and not for the first time I'm seeing so many communication red flags in hindsight that are basically locked to twitter. That site is... gonna high key fuck up a lot of people's interpersonal skills permanently. Has, I'd say.
anyway tl;dr is apparently krad was raised on the most civil part of the internet by a family of (i say this with love) neckbeards and am genuinely, 100%, sincerely grateful for it lmao.
