kradeelav: Rourke, Atlantis (...)
my gf and I were talking about italian architecture which got me misty-eyed about asscreed 2 (genuinely beautiful game, that), and got me to revive my ancient steam account on ubuntu now that i'm actually on a laptop that actually has large enough RAM for light gaming (and may or may not get a steam deck when the price goes down and the bugs are worked out).  technically i have to re-buy a few of the old games, but i have a few gift cards from christmas burning a hole in my pocket, which leads me to my question -

any "classic" steam games folks would rec? a few caveats:

- very high favoritism to games older than ~2010 (buying ac2, the orange box eg portal, half life...)
- nothing that i can buy on nintendo (hades I'm gonna get from there)
- works on linux / on a laptop / no multiplayer (not a massive resource hog)
- RPG preferred, but will look into games that "sticks with you" and don't feel like a mobile game, you know? (as beautiful as Journey was, that feels like a one and done game ngl.)

.... (realizes i can play kotor2 now) YEE......
