tough guys

on the mainline
on the yard
everyone trying so hard
to be a tough guy

it gets boring
and ridiculous

as if

denying their fear
will make them
immortal

the graveyards
are full

of tough guys
who didn’t
realize

they stayed alive
only as long
as the cowards
let them
