i had a thought last night if i was truly an evil venture capitalist overlord

i'd make a art gallery app a la deviantart

but then abuse the permissions to hook up eye tracking to see where people look at illustrations (since that's already been a thing in retail for years). and then slowly train an AI model to maximize those results aka eye tracking engagement on pictures and then sell that (as "increased engagement"?) somehow.

and then i realized somebody's probably already at work on this but like, unironically. :< eugh.

cold + wet weather plus using new brushes kinda janked my drawing wrist last week (that's never happened before.... i'm getting old lol)

anyway i've been experimenting to see what helps with it since it's annoyingly, not going away after a few days of non drawing, like most other random bone maladies do. thankfully it doesn't hurt when stationary or even moving, it's a very specific drawing side-to-side gesture/flick, and i can tell it's about to hurty b/c my thumb "cracks" when i move it inwards. bodies are ridiculous.

CBD cream's legal to use in my state and the fam had half a bottle laying around... verdict is i think it helps? it won't magically prevent it from happening but it "dampens" the shit about 30%.

and tonight putting a washcloth underneath a sharp edge of the desk that hits between the wrist/elbow definitely helps keep the sharp lancing pain from happening. downside is arm feels weirdly lightly tingly. tingles aren't great tho so i'm kind of trying to not do that for too long.

its dumb that going back to my old brushes actually helps the most @_@ drew for a good 3 hours saturday with old brushes (no washcloth) while just consistently rotating the thumbpad in between small breaks.

grrr i just want to draw ossans!! /shakefist
