So I've fallen down the Rogue/Magneto ship hole recently.

Sketching out some context, it all started with the new X-Men97 reboot animation that just launched the last month. It didn't take long for me to realize that although Rogue/Gambit is one of (if not the) mainstay X-Men het ships, Rogue/Magneto have actually ironically had an on-off history since the 80's so it's not like the teasing in X-Men97 between them has come out of absolutely nowhere.

( general fandom/ship observations, likewise observations about a specific fic that got me in the id. )

the fic i started off with was inappropriate conduct (A+), but then i stumbled on Sionnan (different author) who.... let's just say the author started off writing hermione/voldemort. :D you know you're in some delicious no-holds-barred dark villainfucker territory from the get-go. (which is honestly... really nice? i feel a lot of people tame down villainfucker ships so much or shy away from certian pairs but this author sure didn't.

anyway, ideology is Sionnan's longest rogneto fic and holy fuck. that was good. next few bullet points are about that fic specifically.
