to slake your curiosity a bit, ahaha, currently the renning/rafiel fragment of a draft is sparking on the idea of right after the war, renning's afraid of a world that no longer has need of a true warrior like him. was rereading the very few sane!renning lines we get and he strikes me as surprisingly... hm, combative? for somebody from crimea. one of those warrior-poets who's a thinker as much as he is a fighter. (so then the fic playing off that contrast of rafiel being a man of peace and renning being a man of war (also noting their visual contrasts of being garbed in all black and all white, but both of them knowing exactly the hell of what being a prisoner of war is like, to so to speak. loss of control.)

I'd be very curious to hear how you'd frame the 'fire emblem does the Wire in hatari' shortlets, but don't let me take too much of your time if you're tired XD
