kradeelavgueeeeess what came in the mail today! :D all 4 of ayami kojima's black jack doujinshi, HEEL heal ~
this is less a review (since i can't read japanese for shit), and more just silently squee'ing over the artwork, what you're not seeing is me reverently trying to not touch this so much so my dirty hands don't muss it up @_@
for context: I had been coveting kojima-san's doujins for about 6 months now and pulled the trigger recently on purchasing them. it was not cheap, but I rarely buy doujins/artbooks these days (if anything i'm giving away a lot of my old books), and figured if I was still lustily eying her ink-work six months later for reference with half of my drawings, well, I'd get my money's worth out of them. quid pro quo ~
another reason that ultimately made me get this, aside from art quality, is there's some pretty delectably sleezy hints(?) of loli in here, and I wasn't sure if the laws around fictional depictions were going to get Weird in the next few years, especially shipping between borders. (speaking of shipping, this came in the mail over the course of 2 days wtf, and I'm pretty sure i picked the cheapest shipping option since it wasn't time sensitive. :o sometimes the sheer amount of globalism makes me dizzy.)

gad damn, this inking is even *better* in person....
if i remember right, kojima-san drew this doujin when her friends were going through a rough time with disaster recovery - wanting to give them something silly and irreverent to laugh about. this very poignant mix of shlock/humor/id (with a side of sleazy pretty boys) plus that kindness to others is. something i aspire to, quite deeply.
