eh, i mean, fwiw, i generally only hit the "follow" button on the blog if i like the creator's art style? like, i may have found them via fandom, and of course i'd be delighted if they posted more fanart for the fandom i know, but generally i'm like "eh if they make other stuff i'll probably like it a lot too" and i am often right!!!

the funniest is when a creator does a goofy boomerang. there's someone i followed a decade ago b/c they were posting a bunch of FF9 fanart. i followed them while they were posting a lot of great art for fandoms i knew nothing about, but... just recently they've been on a HUGE Larry-Bird-and-Magic-Johnson fanart kick and i'm like YES. YES. DRAW MY NBA FAVES I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW THIS WAS A THING PEOPLE FANARTED I AM *HERE* FOR IT" lol
