oh yeah, and now I remember the best part: this was a make-up test and the teacher actually went super easy on me, just wanted to probe me for a sign that I'd gotten at least halfway through the assigned reading. which I had, because halfway was when I dropped it to go write fanfic
it was for a class on psychodrama, too, so maybe dropping everything to chase an artistic star was just perfectly in-keeping with the spirit of things ultimately
