ohhhh... thank you for linking me that martha graham quote, i might have to repost that back on the journal if you don't mind. x) definitely one of those i can see the cheesiness in but also surprisingly, the kind of relevance one can see more plainly at 2am versus 2pm in the cold light of the day. it's so terribly easy to numb oneself over time to life's various myraids of uneventful pains and boredoms and to close off that sense of ... play, quickening, channel towards risky sincerity of art. honestly it feels like it happens all over online, when the online world became less of an escape and more of a mirror of this one.
anyway, love your thoughts as always. that first poem is genuinely beautiful too, sat there for a while to reread it a few times to soak it in. the 'thunder of the wings' indeed.
