new zihark text dropped omg (not really BUT-)

crunching through formatting the combined scripts for the fanshrine, and tfw your favorite character has such a shitload of exquisite scripts that you actually find one or two battle conversations while crosschecking things you've never seen before :o

(and in my rabid teen fangirl hoarding days + who knows how many RD playthroughs in the last fifteen years that is fucking impressive)

Zihark: Micaiah! Pull back your troops! We don’t want to fight you. There’s got to be a way to stop all this!
Micaiah: I can’t, and there isn’t. We have to keep fighting. Until the last of us falls, we have no choice.
Zihark: What’s happened to you all?! Why get yourselves into such a hopeless war? Why did you do those horrible things in the valley? I know all of this must have a reason! Please tell me… Tell me how my country lost its soul.
Micaiah: I’ve nothing to say to you.
Zihark: I see. No words to waste on a deserter like me, is that it? I’m sorry I wasted your time.
Micaiah: Zihark–
Zihark: No, please… Just know that I could never draw steel against you. Good-bye, Micaiah.
Micaiah: I… I’m so sorry, Zihark. I can’t get you involved in this, too.

I knew about the Pelleas one in 3-E and I knew about the Zihark/Micaiah uhhh 3-7 one i think, but didn't know there was another one with Micaiah. Damn. Wow.

(also fistpumping that it ties in p damn well in terms of "voice" with my fill-in-canon-strip between the two of them.) Might have to do a meta post over some of these when I finally piece together the timing / confirm with my current RD playthrough. (His convo with Kieran's is surprisingly good).

I *knew* you were going to ask that, just somehow knew it. xD;

But yeah! If Zihark stays with the DB up until 3-E, he and Kieran both show up in The Price with the latter as an enemy (https://fireemblem.fandom.com/wiki/The_Price). Zihark also has conversations with Sigrun and Tanith who also show up there. Tbh, I haven't run the math but I'm 90% sure he might be the one character that actually has the most battle conversations *in the series* because of these kind of encounters; Jill intuitively feels like she'd come close (see: the random wyvern conversations she has in PoR's Talrega map), but not quite. I suspect once when the fanshrine is up it'll actually be a very useful reference to scroll through these almost impossible to get convos. :P

edit: so it might behoove me to say there's one with Nailah too. >:P

Zihark: I couldn't abandon the people of my homeland.

Nailah: Zihark, I don't care. These are beorc problems. What I'm interested in is you and your blade. Shall we get started? I remember you as a skilled swordsman. I'm excited to see your work up close.
Zihark: I don't know if my blade can match your jaws, Queen Nailah, but I'm honored to face you. At your ready.
