there is a part of me that's tempted to make a inspiration tumblr 'cause my god i have so many juicy art images (graffiti! artists from all eras! cd records!) and pinterest is clunky as fuck as far as just scrolling through private boards and i know some folks would find it cool to follow just for cool aesthetic art....

but then a good 1/3 of that would be eventually nuked b/c tumblr be prudes in a baaad way (i will never forgive them for nuking half my nsfw blog before i closed it)

and then another 1/3 i have no source for 'cause i just screenshotted the shit out of it and tumblr's whiney about that ~~in some senses not without reason but also: sometimes u just want an inspo blog now ya feel~~

best case scenario would be to find a wordpress template that's basically a minimal tumblr with the thumbnail archives and all but eugh that's Work .... I'd rather finish up my zihark fanshrine or my guestbooks if i'm dicking around in coding for the next two months.

tumblr gdi why'd you have to go to the dark side, i'd literally still be on there, personal blog and all if it the 2018 purge didn't happen. :<

Man I fuckin miss inspo tumblrs... I had two and miss em both all the damn time. I have folders and folders upon folders of saved inspo on dropbox but I don't often go looking in it, not like I used to scroll my inspo blogs anyways :(

Totally, totally feel you with the catch22 of saved inspo, but no real way to actually re-view it that's not in a clunky manner, yeah. somehow tumblr made it actually "fun" to go back and review and even upload, mm.

I have something similar (a moodboard) on my site so I was going to suggest doing something that, but even if you use someone's else code like I do it's still kind of a pain to set it up 😬

God I miss the old Tumblr so much.. not to be dramatic but the 2018 purge was heartbreaking 💔

Right with old tumblr? somehow it was this perfect area of like ... lawlessness with a side of humor, such a huge variety of creative weirdos and an amazing breadth of being able to customize code and aesthetics. so good.

God I hardly put any of my work on tumblr but it was such an amazing way to collect beautiful reference, resources and inspirational artwork. I didn't have any love left for its community by the time it started circling the drain but I'll miss what it provided every single fucking day and I'm sad I couldn't save more.
