Gotten a fair few new subscribers here recently (hello! :D) and figured it might not be a bad time to do a general introduction beyond what's on the profile. (enjoying the long form nature of dreamwidth and all~)

• call me krad, online, I'm a shameless old web meatbag that draws horny on main villains on the main art handle (kradeelav). offline, I'm a ~30yr old corporate brand lead for a brand you've almost assuredly heard of soon to be sr. designer/associate manager ideally. I keep this handle and the krad handle of my persona far away from anyone IRL -and vice versa- because I don't care to mix the two; more on that here. On that note, I don't mention identity-isms publicly, and prefer not to lead with them (feel like people want to know them for the wrong reasons, eg putting others in metaphorical boxes. I get enough of that IRL in more than a few ways).

• art-wise I'm interested in catharsis, BDSM/leather, villains, classic anime, zines, and in general a subtle sense of playing with power dynamics and body language; my love of 2D animation stems out of the body language bit (or could it be the reverse?). something that probably says a lot about my art priorities is i consider my highest honor the time my NSFW hellsing comics were included in a russian-ero-doujin torrent dump. :')  (I've been in gallery shows before, published as a comic creator, yadda yadda but it didn't hit the same way.)

• in a large part due to my kink art and being no stranger to having it taken down, freedom of speech in art especially is one of the main "issues" to me. I don't deal with open malice and respect my boundaries highly (there are asshats after all) - but I'm also more interested in finding areas where humanity can find unexpected commonality rather than irreconcilable differences especially these days. Honest curiosity is also a personal mindset I value highly, which results often in a to-read list a mile long. ironically, would still call myself as a misanthrope because sometimes humans are Too Much (and have been known to dissapear for months. it's not personal, and it's not you, no worries).

• I don't participate much in fandom life these days (versus my time on deviantart/tumblr), but fire emblem 9/10 and hellsing are the two stubbornly main fandoms that have stuck around for a decade+ ... it takes a rare game or fictional book to hold my attention (there's a much better chance if they're from the 90's-00's). relatedly, this username used to be my tumblr handle when it was all the rage to add a (s) after your favorite character's name, which probably dates me terribly. (Vau is technically my second favorite character, (from the SW EU), which I care less about these days). What usually gets me in media is irreverent horny military vibes and villain feelings, afterwards, if we're being totally honest. :P

• the first favorite character would be zihark from the aformentioned fire emblem, and I've built a recent fanshrine here. :> the last two years I made it a huge focus to hand-code my personal art site haven and to actively move off of social media to the point where I only check in once every 3-6 months ... been mildly successful at both to different degrees, imo.  the links page is another pretty good summary of interests, and has a number of rad artists/organizations to poke around if you're interested.

• I love dreamwidth's chill / nuanced / eccentric (lovingly) vibe, and i love the type of people on dreamwidth, including all y'all wonderful subscribers. I don't say that enough. <3
