Video of the month, if not past year courtesy of shadderstag putting this on my feed.

I frankly don't think this talks enough about the recent bottom-up censorship wave coming from the Left (and how most of 'em curiously remain blind to it) (this video could also have been made before that really got rolling), but this was fantastically well crafted as a meta-piece of art in itself. Interesting as hell connections with the indie video games side and postmodern art I hadn't considered - the "itch.io hosts degenerate games" paraphrased schlep from the usual quarters made me grin outright

S'why I put my shit on there. ;)

Only grew more fond of Rothko's works while watching this; and the sheer feeling that some people cannot handle discomfort (or disgust, or the thought of ideas outside their control).

This also was super fun (sincerely) to watch in conjunction with my thoughts on fashkink and why I create that, as well.

To me, and I've said as much before in an early zine that was never published, fashkink is inherently subversive by changing the dynamics of power from "(white)(cis) man of power" to "sexualized object for the Other".  Fap bait for the degenerates like myself ~

(This can be a whole essay unto itself but I think I'm going to save that for the leather-theory post that's slowly coming together in my mind.)

I don't usually mention that side of it outright - there's traits to be said about the eros of idealized violence of the State, (and god do I *love* fucking with that as well) but in relation to what makes actual ideological fascists uncomfortable (as shown in the video), it's the kind of textual sexual intensity I only really see Mapplethorpe's photos really start to hit at.

That's fun. I want to see more of it and discussions of it ~

That was a damn good video. Really got me thinking about some stuff, and how I've been thinking more and more about censorship more critically this past year. Definitely helped me to articulate some of that. Ty for the share!
