tbh it’s very interesting to me that traitors have been universally vilified by humanity practically since the age of dawn
and yet - shouldn’t we be most grateful to them for potentially showing us blind spots in our morality codes (not even individual - but institutional morality that gets built up by legal systems), and thusly, showing a pathway to mending those holes? not all traitors are correct - or harmless for that matter, which does need to be considered - but the sheer blind knee-jerk against that label seems … pretty hard-wired in some disturbing ways.
