in more positive news ... i heard radiant dawn's 15 year anniversary is next week. : o
I'm obviously not going to get the zihark doujin done by then, but i do want to do a little illust. hmm. god i still vividly remember picking up the game from gamestop and marathoning it in basically a weekend with no spoilers (there really wasn't much chance for spoilers to leak before, back then). absolutely magical, phenomenally well crafted thing with subtleties that i haven't seen elsewhere to this day.
- boss got hard booted. it sucks since it was more just a sheer 'these two people should not be in the same room' communication failure rather than somebody being truly truly toxic, but he's much happier where he's going. we're staying in touch though, so it's genuinely wonderful to have a mentor that explicitly said he would love to have those chats going forward.
- i got a ... raise? aformentioned previous boss hinted to me this was in the pipes b/c i was being underpaid as a manager (i knew this lol), but it finally went through on vday. pleasant surprise, had tasty sushi to celebrate.
- got the follow-up appointment about the cataracts and next appointment is the pre-op probably sometime in march, with the thing in april. there's a non-zero (high) chance that i'll be fully intubated for this one at the hospital because of Frankenstein Body Issues(tm) which uhhhhh kinda brought all the pandora's box of bad memories from childhood. :v i'm honestly just... Hard Rejecting any thoughts about that right now, pretty sure that's the only way I'll stay sane moving forward. i'm tired!!!!! of surgeries!!!!!! whine whine. and there's at least three going forward now.
- had one hell of a migraine this afternoon that i'm pretty sure was trigged by the (a) stress from above (b) 'doc shines a light all the way on the back of your eyeball for maximum Pain' lol. 0/10, would not repeat. have had a handful over my life and i forgot how gnarly they were.
- lol all of that raise money going into medical bills @____@
