me whispering lovingly to my small botnet army of laptops as they mass boot at once that i'm kinda beginning to hoard on trips with me: "wakey wakey eggs and bakey" 

listen when you like computers more than people you are bound to develop some Quirks

the just as quirky laptops in question:

• Work Laptop with a R key that doesn't work (yes this makes work emails fun)
• Main Laptop aka MAGI01 aka god bless ubuntu <3
• Drawing Laptop aka ancient 2009 mac brick that can only send files via bluetooth now l m a o
• Fuck Around and Find Out(tm) laptop aka slightly cursed asus i'm in the process of mauling and/or converting to a server for Science and Fuck The Authority Reasons

Gyahahaha I can picture this so well. I feel you on this small computer hoarding vibe, I’m on the two laptops now (windows for art and now my Ubuntu for dicking around and playing with) and I’m constantly thinking about getting another one for like… portable writing/coding purposes because I really do miss being able to just go to a library or coffee shop every now and then and just -get shit done-

Really I think we all just want Lain’s badass computer set up with fifteen monitors and wires everywhere and coolant systems bubbling like a mad science lair.

Love hearing about you digging deeper into the hardware fun and experimenting more on different platforms; sometimes they seem so intimidating/scary at first but so much of that can be learnable and overcome.
