I'm right to where you start the climb to Death Mountain with the iron boots in TP - having more fun than I thought with this playthrough.  It's not Wind Waker to me (like how that one was a brilliant diamond), but it's got glimmers of feelings here and there.

What i found interesting was the reoccurring theme of insects.  The twilight insects that you collect for the Tears, a bunch of the bosses and mini-bosses are clearly insect-related (The bug that was possessing the forest temple mini-boss, Temple of Time boss later...), Agitha's whole sidequest ... like, there's a lot.

And it got me thinking what themes TP was more subtly trying to convey.

Almost get a sense of people and a world shedding off an old carapace, and settling into a new.  Link being a blurry mirror image of OoT link but becoming into his own. Midna literally transforming from her "caterpillar" imp self to her final form. The Ordon kiddos shedding their previous naive selves and rebuilding Kakariko. I know there's something that fits quite well in the whole Zora arc, too.

And on a different tangent - the Fused Shadows and Twii being "creepy" but ultimately no less more good or bad than anyone else.  It's almost a hint of Tim Burton creepy-factor.

It's an interesting take that I'm mulling over, while wandering through.
