that said i found a decent chunk of it written and throwing it in here under the cut for y'all to enjoy.  :)  keep in mind that it's an obvious draft, chunks of paragraphs are not written, etc. it's not the fun sexy stuff proper, but y'all might enjoy the lead-up to it.

Introduction

this is not a guide on “how to make a handmade zine”, as there’s plenty of fantastic (free!) tutorials on it - such as this, this and this. This is also not a guide of choosing a specific printer for indie creative work or work meant for the convention circuit, as that would likely go out of date quickly. What this is:

• documentation on how I personally print & sell zines on a small scale painlessly, within the US.
• documentation with specific tips for kink, controversial, & NSFW artists who face additional and unique payment barriers versus “vanilla” creatives. for example, my specific process does not show my real name to the customer, further blunting any impact a harassment campaign would make.
• useful tips on how to sell physical merch on itch.io since it’s not exactly advertised and requires some set-up.

This is not the only way, either, mind; but I’ve done this for a while and like sharing resources. You may repost on other sites (tumblr link tba), but I would encourage you to credit me & link back to the dreamwidth link. (thanks!)

so I started playing around in godot today ~ (link is to a screenshot posted on my SFW log site. I'll probably keep the cool visual gamedev updates over there but sparingly, whilst the longer meatier thoughts go here in the journal.) 

godot is an open-sourced game engine that's rapidly approaching the level where it can challenge unreal and unity on smaller indie 2D/3D games. other than about a week in college messing around with unity, I've got no experience in this arena. I have no desire in making a fully fleshed out game (yet?); right now this is purely to scratch a different visually creative itch, as I'm finding out games consistently haunt my dreams for decades far more than illustration, animation, or comics do. I've mentioned before here that I still, quite literally, "dream" up extra levels of radiant dawn, SW:Starfighter, and Majora's Mask ... wouldn't it be neat if I could bring those to life?

not much notes for this one, except i stayed up too late last night watching soren absolutely roast every single engage character, which made me want to write him and zihark ........ which turned into some gen zihark & ilyana instead??? lol. lmao even. teen!krad didn't care for ilyana very much for Possessive Fangirl Reasons so i find it hilarious that this was as fun as it was.

trying to tentatively work up the stamina to write some longer fics (renning&rafiel, lehran&kurth) and feeling out some different characters while having an old standby for training wheels. also my 'e' key is half broken so that'll need to be fixed before longer fics :')
