kradeelavdecided to slowly download watch all movies mentioned in this timeless article from bloodknife, aka 'everyone is beautiful and no one is horny' (especially after i got on an 80's music video kick and was shoooocked at how timeless (and also horny) MJ's stuff was.

there is a joke somewhere to be made along the lines of 'you watch escape from new york for the bang bang boom sci fi action, and i watch it for the fanservice, we are not the same' :P
i have a gigantic weakness for shoulder length hair on dudes and between that and the mil kink this movie is hand feeding me the good shit lol
anyway if you got recs that you think sorta fit the bill (80's-ish movie, a cast that definitely Fucks even if it's not technically on screen, solid timeless plot but not too serious, the above, etc), i'd absolutely be willing to put it on the list to watch eventually. :) Farscape is another one that's on there already (thanks toflowersforgraves ;) )

Date: 2023-06-13 12:32 am (UTC)The trajectory of sexy normal people to sexless dolls makes me think of the original vs. remake of Fright Night— the former of which iirc I watched because Bryan Fuller said on a podcast that it was the first piece of film he masturbated to :P Then I watched the remake for completeness and— yeah! Extremely hot people with negative sex quotient!

Date: 2023-06-13 12:56 am (UTC)omg that podcast with Fuller sounds absolutely amazing; hadn't thought of how his interviews would be a goldmine there given he's so frank and loving about those kinds of sleazy fun shows. kind of a relief to see we're not the only ones that see it, especially when there's an acclaimed director that sees it too.
