kradeelavi vividly remember reading a book ages ago (i think it was "Hackers & Slackers: The New York New Media Underground in the Early 1990's", unexpectedly fun as hell, would rec.)
where there was a quote of like, some MIT-ish professors giving some students some weird as hell/absurdly cutting-edge computer science-meet-art-installations to do. and the students across the board absolutely blew their minds with the quality / 'holy shit computers are capable of that???' vibe of the drafts halfway through, and so the professors secretly met and go 'yo we should just tell them they're kinda meh so far and see what the students come up with after'
and then students took those expectations and absolutely blew the roof off of the house lol

anyway i mention that because i sure as hell feel the vibe with the current drawing/project i'm working on rn. :D :D :D
it's. one of those 'genuinely didn't know i was capable of drawing this' projects, several times over. (whether it was my eyes previous to the surgeries or kind of half-assing everything for the longest time or both.) excited to show it soon ~~
