being the little edgelord i was, i named our router/"internet" Skynet...

and uh.
hmm.

next time i am naming that little shit something harmless like. armadillo or something.

ok related story:

once upon a time i did some security auditing for a wifi stack, right

and i determined that i could absolutely crash this one wifi stack if i made it connect to an access point that had an emoji in its name (no one fucking understands how to unicode i stg)

bird guy & i thought this was hilarious so when we moved in together we of course used an emoji for our wifi network name...

...only to discover the playstation 3 has the same fucking bug and it bootloops if you try to make it connect to an emoji network so. we had to change it. to something. the stupid stupid ps3 could handle bahahaha

oh my god that's gold ahahahaha. PS3 era.... dang that was right about when emojis were becoming the hot thing but i'm genuinely surprised such a bug stayed hidden for so long even still.
