lmao so i joined a [shippy] server recently

and last night we were being goofy and talking about uhhh a smut scenario in the appropriate channel. and one absolutely legendary fanficcer basically did the most glorious improv "choose your own adventure" omegaverse fic on the spot. it started out us egging her on with meta rambling about a scenario, then somebody pulled out a map of the giant mansion as a map when she was talking her way through the setting and then whenever she was like 'okay y'all choose where this time :D' we were having fun yelling 'THEY DO IT IN THE MAZE!!!!' etc.

god i love the internet. this is the kind of goofy ass group shenanigans we used to do on forums :D

I've gotta say, I've been spending more time on Discord lately, and it's definitely like the old forum days. Good to know it hasn't completely died out :D

glad you are and you're having fun there! :D there's some disadvantages for how closed it is but honestly what with everyone in each other's hair in this day and age digitally maybe there's some advantages too. easier to be silly on a drop of a hat ~

I do feel like modern fandom has lost some of this collaborative storytelling magic that comes from just swapping headcanons back and forth, always fun to find it again

absolutely! tumblr tags and reblogs are probably the last public holdout of what i feel like you're talking about, but it is neat seeing how discord's taken a part of the ecosystem too.
