reconnecting with a lot of my old favorite hobbies in the last few weeks, one of them being searching for extremely obscure german industrial/techno 90's tracks on youtube (SA-42's 'dead is calling' dance remix still slaps so hard)

and it is so hard finding decent stuff there these days sheesh

maybe it's like downloading shit where you just need to know which new sites (aka yandex and/or annas-archive compared to google n' the internet archive) (ia is still ok with games as of writing) but gaah!

whine whine [old fujo shakefists at clouds] back in MY day we had bishies and megaupload and all was perfect. :PP

hahaha, this reminds me fondly of how i went to a computer camp every summer from age 10 onward, and honestly one of the biggest payoffs of that experience was asking the slightly-older-than-me hackertypes "ok gang which private torrent tracker is the one i gotta be on now to successfully download [x] [y] and [z] media types"

and nowadays i just have an irl Guy who keeps up with this sort of thing

but yeah it sucks when e.g. Demonoid becomes useless and you gotta Know A Guy Who Knows A Guy to find out the latest emergent phenomenon for law evasion lol (remember demonoid???? pepperidge farm remembers demonoid etc)

summer camp connections are soooo much fun aren't they? :D you're making me fondly remember my own arts+science one i went to before STEAM was cool haha. but omg i bet kid!lua was itching to get all the latest goss every year there, including those sweet sweet downloader links >:D
