somehow once a week my art tumblr gets reliably followed by an obviously star wars-themed account (usually clone centric)

which is weird because: 

a) i have not posted repcomm art in.... at least ten years? whenever disney took over.
b) i mostly drew the mando'ade sergeants, not the clones.
c) ... not to mention my favorite was notably nasty towards his clones
d) and i deleted basically all of my EU art a month ago......

it's to the point that i'm tempted to post something along the lines of 'hey guys i ain't drawing star wars ever again even if it's in the mediafire file' lol


ah well the curse of being reasonably well known on the internet for $thing

eh, i mean, fwiw, i generally only hit the "follow" button on the blog if i like the creator's art style? like, i may have found them via fandom, and of course i'd be delighted if they posted more fanart for the fandom i know, but generally i'm like "eh if they make other stuff i'll probably like it a lot too" and i am often right!!!

the funniest is when a creator does a goofy boomerang. there's someone i followed a decade ago b/c they were posting a bunch of FF9 fanart. i followed them while they were posting a lot of great art for fandoms i knew nothing about, but... just recently they've been on a HUGE Larry-Bird-and-Magic-Johnson fanart kick and i'm like YES. YES. DRAW MY NBA FAVES I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW THIS WAS A THING PEOPLE FANARTED I AM *HERE* FOR IT" lol

oh my god i didn't even know nba fanartists *existed* hell fucking yeah :D :D i would have guessed the closest it would have been would be like... space jam but that's even better. :D

and LOL you're so much more considerate than i was... fair enough, can think of a number of artists on my follow list who are the-style-not-the-fandom follows.

it IS kind of funny how styles are weirdly predictive in some ways. or themes? yakuza artists overlapping with other silly gorn fandoms and such.
