you know it just occurred to me that a tip to designers/whoever wants to stay in industries away from AI-enshittification, go with places where You Will Get Sued if You Fuck The Product Up (and somebody dies). eg, important health stuff, certian non-shady security sectors, baby products, pharmacy, etc.

cuz i can personally confirm that the dayjob legal department starts yowling like a cross between a cat in heat and a geiger counter whenever some enterprising VP starts mentioning AI and the VP shut up pretty quickly after that lol.

(sure it's stressful in a different way but, hey. tradeoffs?)

yup! it's fucked that companies care more about being sued than, y'know, people dying, but the tradeoff is that it makes them genuinely give a shit about sticking to regulations with a safe margin (overall a net good). so many tradeoffs ~
