I've been wanting to watch it, I loved Power of the Dog by the same director iirc. Everything I've read of it kind of reminds me of the kinky power dynamics in Phantom Thread.

yeah!! it's one of those that sticks with you for much longer / genuinely feels uncomfortable in some places but in a needful way, tbh. i think i may relent and do a proper review after all since there's a ton on disability i don't see even mentioned in the reviews at all - it's got that many layers.
