30 minutes later: i uh. may have gone a little trigger happy buying some games :D;;;;;

i promise this isn't totally unhinged; i prefer gaming away from my laptops after work as a way to wind down so my GC probably sees more genuine use to this day than most folks. anyway, reasonably priced resident evil 4, twin snakes, paper mario (switch vers), & metroid prime now added to the queue after ff12 :3  i'm also totally up for taking GC/switch suggestions, kinda want to give star fox a try on there? maybe get soul calibur 2??)

I SHOULD ADD this was heavily inspired by 4chan's aggregated "top 150 games of all time" which had a disproportionate amount these games on it; been slowly trying to work through all of them!

TWIN SNAKES YES

(also paper mario)

problem w/ gamecube star fox is that it's Star Fox Adventures, which is very much not a rail shooter and imo a pretty mid adventure game. not disastrously bad, just wasn't especially good either

honestly, that was me finding radiant dawn in a game store. i had money! i have a console that can play it! it is only going to go up in price!!

(and when i found shadows of valentia.)

asked my gf her top three gc games as she's an og gamer and she said twin snakes, metroid prime 1 and 2, and smash melee. (that's four games. and then she listed about five more. she also said soul calibur 2 was super fun, really remembers that one fondly. she also said that star fox adventures is fun but mid.)

you seem to be on a solid track! excited to hear about your experience playing twin snakes!

Resident Evil 0 is a highly underrated entry in the series, and on gamecube! It makes some fun use of the controller too, I really enjoyed it. Also in a similar vein, the gamecube "remake" of Resident Evil 1 is fantastic! To be honest I only bought a very cheap secondhand one specifically for those two games lmao, so that's the whole extent of my recs XD
