* going out tomorrow for sushi with one of my dear doujin circle broskis \o/

* relatedly, my birthday's coming up in mid-March; i ordered the whole series of Ristorante Paradisio for myself since i adored the anime when much younger and I'd like to read/own the manga series to support a fellow ossan creator-enjoyer, and the gunter figurine is due to arrive around then (vendor has done a physical print and is in the process of painting it ~).

* art-wise, I'm in that final "it's all coming together" stretch with the third and last gunter/corrin doujinshi strip where everything's seamlessly clicking into place; i also made a massive amount of progress with the painted cover itself and the general inner matter; had a serious breakthrough with the cover to the point where I'm excited to color stuff in general now again!! (playing with modulo layer effects and a locked paper texture on top was key)

tangent: (it was a little funny to read croriin's latest hentai release (nsfw) last night for research and going aaa, he just wrote the f/f fairy queen story i wanted to draw next XP rats! absolutely gorgeous work as always, though, and one of the two authors that convinced me hentai is a legitimately enjoyable art form.)

* speaking of, i might take the effort to do a test trial of putting up some of my comic work on dlsite since it's a site for doujinshi/parody/fandom work that is frequently viewed by publishers as well. (the gunter doujinshi + my zihark selfship comic are probably going to be the first two works there). it seems like a good backup alternative to the more western itch.io which does a pretty good job as of writing in terms of being a shop-front for my fellow dead dove creatives. anyone have any experience with dlsite? :v

* work is currently boring but is going get Very Interesting with me essentially onboarding a new boss again. i'm not too worried; done this before  and quite like the process (since they tend to be more endeared towards me as the resident helpful expert). i'm also getting nudges to do a pretty massive international brand/campaign for next year that's Big Stakes and nghhh >_<  i have no doubt i can and will do it, it's just, an effort lol.

*in terms of miscellaneous leisure - making the final push to finish elden ring (just beat the fire giant so one more area to do), unicorn overlord, and my special playthrough of fe:fates (revelation - on ch26) inside of this month, as well as delete the last of my tumblr likes (from 21,000 back in november to 3,000 right now). my brain is currently in a "check things off the list" mood and i honestly can't wait to start READING stuff again after i finish those.

the one thing id think ab wrt dlsite is the current yen vs dollar thing...with the yen being so weak, it probably wouldnt be a good source of revenue...but ig if u just wanna use it as an archive, thatd be ok.

oh yeah, i'll probably offer most of the stuff for free, it's just more getting it in front of a totally different audience and also to neutrally see what the response is from there. :) good point tho!
