never in my younger dA life did i think my kradeelav handle would end up so important to me as putting it in my actual will. damb.

kind of cool i'm still in contact with the person who got me on dA and starting all of [gestures at] this. also extremely cool y'all are that important. etc. just surreal, u know?

(dw, i like life, i intend on sticking around for a bit, just cleaning up irl overdue housekeeping stuff <3)

Wow this hit me with a wave of nostalgia for dA before it updated to try and be more modern and I suddenly didn't understand how to use it

yeee! pre-modeern dA logo was so dope. i think a lot of new folks forget how it really was the bastion of digital artists worldwide for a surprisingly long time. it had its many issues but the comment culture was awesome.

being just too young to have missed when the internet was mostly forums, dA was my primary exposure to forum culture before i joined the mercs (which are forum based), and i loved it! i made some good friends over there that i haven't been able to connect with anywhere else, which is too bad

oooh kandosii!! i started my first build in 2017, only missed ya by a couple years XD they have been and continue to be some of the best people i know- but i know i'm lucky with my clan

every other new person who joins complains that the forums are 'hard to navigate' and i just... skill issue? those forums have some of the clearest layouts i've seen, but okay.

such a mood!!! i've had the username cmdonovann longer than i've had my current legal name, and i never would have thought it'd become that important when i picked it as my ffnet username when i was eleven XD it's always such a trip to think about how long-used internet names can become that important to The Self or Identity or whatever.

haha you get it exactly! and how easily picked on a whim these internet handles are. in a weird way it's cute how honest they are without a trace of 'optimizing' or such.
