did a 'fuck it, let's see if [itch] reverses the takedown' counter-email earlier yesterday, and did an even more 'fuck it, initiate store payout to see if any of it will come through.' honestly i'll wait for one or two weeks and i'm shutting down the store either way. pretty done waiting around for the situation to resolve even if i don't see an entire cent from the whole thing.

this whole mess is really really fuckin' with my mental health in ways i'm actually a little rattled by (hit a bad low on wednesday), and it just needs to. stop. i'm washing my hands of this, ditto with non-art posts. i'm going back to art-only stuff on the art socials soon, and walking away save for two [redacted] meetings that more informs how i handle artwork on the personal site. frankly that probably won't change things; i've done some recent "hardening" (adding a literacy test page on the main site, and then switching bsky posts to be a 1:1 for how i handle tumblr posts with a preview and then a link to the main site) and i strongly suspect those changes will carry me just fine for the next years or so given tumblr hasn't had a problem with me since starting this method back in 2018 even with pretty hardcore dead dove.

(i think also - part of it is i really really don't want this whole hot mess souring the sheer fondness i have for the ship itself (that the doujin is about). fuckin' love them; and while i'm not fuckin' obsessed as i was two years ago, there's still def a kinktober and some other YRMR fanfic doodles i want to do. not done with them you know?

but i'm also like. not fond with how i'm slowly being associated with Just That Ship in certian circles (i hate being known for one thing with a passion but IF i had to be known for one thing let it me being bananas for zihark XD fairly sure that one's a constant.) (and oh baby there's plenty of him coming down the pipe >:)

anyway, general next steps:

doujin shipping - delightfully actually going well so far thanks to pirateship, knock on wood, and we already got some successful deliveries. minimally stressed by this specifically, if anything it's just tedious paperwork and spending Yet More Money. it also is actually kind of fun to see people excited about deliveries and go 'oh yeah this book was kind of cool actually, this shit slaps. :D'

got two dead dove-y anthologies in the pipeline, plus finishing two other art projects i actually. want to get Back to instead of having stress dreams about the above lol.  i am READY to have a decent latter half of the month unlike this first half.

Definitely feel what you mean on that being associated with one thing and one thing only and its not even being entirely the thing you'd be the most cool with... Sorry, and do hope you're able to get that diversity of recognition.
