Mar. 30th, 2020 10:18 pmthere's some extremely tasty replies y'all have left i swear i am getting to lol
but:
I literally cannot tell if I have a particularly bad bout of tree allergies (despite never having them before...) + anxiety or the virus itself?
it's just allergies, babe list:
- tree pollen was literally almost 9000 yesterday. the scale usually goes to 1000.
- noticeable wheezing / chest tightness
- fuck this coughing. only constantly drinking honey in water seems to actually make a dent here.
- no loss of smell (yet?)
but it could also be the virus list:
- literally never gotten the allergies bit, despite living my whole life in the South before and facing slightly higher pollen count?
- see above wheezing / persistent coughing / etc
- symptoms are bad even literally not stepping foot outside for 3 weeks. not quite ... full on norovirus misery, but the only time I don't Feel most of this is when I'm asleep.
- my mom has similar symptoms, and she's been on the rare grocery trips.
- all of the gunk has hung around for a long time at this point I'd say i'm on... day 12? it started with coughing/sore throat.
pretty Noticable chest pain/tightness? i would say... 5-ish on the pain scale? today was worrying with stinging and sliding up to 7-8 occasionally, and I don't think it was for anxiety reasons. it ebbs and flows.
- fatigue being a constant the whole time. definitely taking more naps lately.
- edit: none of the more common allergy symptoms? very minimal sneezing, no itchiness.
the only thing that makes me pause on testing is that i haven't broke 99.0F, and it's not quite bad enough where I've needed to consider 'plan C, call Places and start packing your ICU bag." the worst bit is where i get on an anxiety spiral and then the chest pain bit shoots up briefly.
uughhhhh

Date: 2020-03-31 02:21 pm (UTC)Just woke up from nap after a 10 hour sleep actually! Also not feeling fever.
My family and husband (bro, sis, mom) all feeling relatively same. I don't think it's the virus even though it's annoying and giving me a "sticky lung" feeling. i think it's just some legit "mother nature strikes back" thing.
Most of the problems went away with recent heavy rains but as soon as it let up.. the plants.. they sprung right back with a vengeance.
Hopefully that's all this is.. the worst spring allergies ever. lol

Date: 2020-03-31 03:20 pm (UTC)Maybe do try and get tested and pack your bag before it gets to a point where you've got no choice but to enact plan C, if it's even under your power to do so. Don't do it as a "Well I have no choice" option, pack it as a "just in case" option - it might help you feel a little more at ease. It's not a certainty, it's a precaution. Hopefully, you've just got the worst case of allergies ever, and if it is covid, it'll pass soon.
Please take care of yourself, no matter what. I want to get the chance to retaliate in kind to the art you did for me and the tremendous kindness you've shown to me. ♥
