i completely missed the hullaboo over this quote back in 2004 given age and uh indoctrination at that point but uh

((semi-relatedly—i'm reading a book on "so like how did the US decide to invade Iraq exactly" and it's fascinating on so many levels, this sort of angle being one of them—hopefully gonna be able to finish it & write up a review this weekend :o))

( i know it's RL and maybe kind of tasteless to say this but i wonder how many times a kojima line would be applicable with that book, lol. how in the hell did such a zany series do such a good job deconstructing the whole military industrial repercussions there.. )
