i can't find the interview now (woe), but there was a really amusing interview with one of the programmers a couple months after BotW's release
interviewer: so what do you think of the speedrunners?
programmer: it's been very interesting watching the strategies they come up with. they've really been able to figure out a lot of mechanics. not all of them, mind you, they still haven't found everything, but.... we'll see
and i just imagined a break room full of the programmers being like "lol these scrubs still haven't figured out how to exploit the autoteleportation glitch, noobs" and deviously taunting their fans by being like "oh yeah you're CLOSE, good effort" :P
