a) i don't think i've ever completed a zine that fast and b) i don't think i've been as nervous to post something as that lul. d o n e !

aNYWAYS lil' bit of context: wanna do some different stuff this year.

always itching to see stuff that ... speaks to the darker side of existence while never losing that wink. realized it's hypocritical to want *that* when i've always been ... reluctant? to give the same vulnerability. :v skin in the game, all that shit.

this was such a good read, wonderfully composed. loved the rilke bit at the end, and somethin about the ribcage in those illustrations... mmm. thanks for sharing.

(if-and-only-if this hasn't gone to print yet, and if-and-only-if you care, there's a small spelling error on the last page; "concious" is "conscious" i believe? sorry can't turn this part of my brain off lol)

it's funny you picked up on the ribcage; i was doodling a few ideas a while back of a vibe i called 'horrorleather' - somethin' that could have a strange kind of intensity as a "stage" persona/alter ego that could both fuse the hints of body horror but also the chosen-self but also theatrical, almost? the line that kept coming to me is 'the ridiculousness /is/ the point' since the topic's already so much in the field of absurdity you might as well just... whole ass it lmao. hellsing does a particularly good job of that just strictly speaking story-technical-wise.

(ooh good eye, I'm glad you told me! there's some spacing errors in the first page with the black boxes so I'll get right to editing all of those. <3 that's what beta buddies are all about)
